Welcome to Exercise Phys.
This course
is a one term course that covers the movement of the human body and the body's adaption to physical activity. Exercise Physiology is also a College In the Schools (CIS) course throught St. Cloud State University worth one PESS credit at St. Cloud State University.

This class will introduce student to a number of fitness activities that will focus on the five components of fitness: Cardiorespiratory Endurance, Body Composition, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, and Flexibility. During this class students will be able to demonstrate competency in lifting techniques, aerobic and anaerobic activities. Students will also be able to apply principles of basic muscle physiology & biomechanics to continue a lifetime exercise program. Students will participate in physical activity daily during the quarter. Each student will be responsible for his/her personal and social behavior that respects self and others within the physical activity setting. Lastly, students will have an opportunity to challenge their physical and mental state of being, and express himself/herself in a physical setting.

This course is a one term course that will allow students to improve their current strength and fitness levels. Each student chooses a tract of movement lifts or muscle lifts. Students must have passed Lifetime Fitness successfully to participate in Physical Image.
